January 24, 2007 Poetry II with Dr. G . I've completed my first Soliloquy which glimmers with success as it lunges upon the relationship between Television and Mankind. . . It examines our interconnectivity with what is now displayed on TV so far as with satellite technology and taking up a GOOD PORTION of our time. Please print a copy !! I shall soon bless classmates with the Englitenment that is my http:// w-w-w URL so I'd like to say Hey how's it going to any Woo State students who've been impressed with what they've seen emanating from my mind and person (as well as voicing a Hello Sir to the Professor of the English Course who's smiled upon my future of working with language and inventive ideas . . . ) Or the lot of you who don't contact me online (None of my friends EVER send me email !!! ) can feel free to mention my miraculous creations upon meeting me in the flesh when I'm out and about (well I'll be driving sometime soon. . . so w00t for me !! ) PERHAPS someone would be so fuckin' daring to email me: jeff@justchillen.com Be sure to check out my Poetry Thread . January 5, 2007 Fact: Carpenters have the lowest rate of mental illness. . . I know exactly why this is true : because us humans may take pride in all of what we've built, generated, invented, etc. We smile upon the evidence of our existence—any impact upon the world. I'll start this off with myself. . .okay. . .now that I regularly train my creative mind and its apparently appealing spin on things I smile throughout the day just knowing I've contributed something to the world. If I've produced some awesome text during the day—which I receive TONS of compliments on!—I'll then think about it with bright thoughts in my head as I drift off to sleep at night. I know three artists who create a lot from nothing, constructing entertaining images from their mind's eye and forming perfectly unique illustrations. (Brother Justin , Colleen R. a new friend of mine. . . , and Alexis who painted me a beautiful scene when I was in the hospital. ) Also because I see a relation to any industrial creation with carpentry and assembly : I know a man who's BIRTHED a boomin' business from nothing putting food on peoples' tables, having impact upon financial institutions everywhere. This man arranged something special where there was once nothing and maintains with this creation of his on a fulltime basis. And, astoundingly, those are the only people who come to mind when I think of producing a lot from nothing. . . Yes you could probably prove your case to me—Jeff I create a lot too!—but yeah that's stretching it and it's not up to par with this here. Allow me to reiterate: Carpenters have the lowest rate of mental illness. That means something. That means something. I can imagine a corporate office environment where the worker bees complain and see psychiatrists when nothing really stressful is going on in their lives. . . They're finding uneasy pressure and nervous tension in what should be commonplace. Come to think of it , that was me in a past lifetime when I had not-fuckin'-much going on and when I'd hide behind magazines with the latest consumer products thinking they'd make me happy. Look at me now!!! —generating unique relics of our internal thoughts and talents is a very rewarding habit. It is my belief you're setting yourself up for failure if you don't create (e.g. artistic accomplishments) . Here I'm stressing a fact that I learned in an American Lit. class quite some time ago and has been ticking around in my head as I try to make it with text in my own life. . . My Advice: Start your own business. Many of those who drive a Viper or Ferrari have amassed riches with a creation such as a successful business. Then, not only do they have the satisfaction of financial superiority, but they also have the extreme contentment of having originated a money-maker. . . (I know nothing about business yet I see this having tremendous value in life. . .) –if it's a winner.
that's all for now. . .
